I love making my own books out of cereal boxes. Decided to branch out and try a new notebook style. Enter the travelers notebook. Really easy to make. I have been making them for the past few days. I think they will be this years diy gift project for the holidays. I just love them. Check below for more pictures of the covers I have made.
Supplies
- Vinyl- got at JoAnn Fabrics. It was on sale when I bought it.
- Lined Paper: Used http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/ it has tons of paper options. 8.5×11
- Elastic Cording
- Stencils or printed out image you can trace. If you are doing a design on front or back.
- Needle
- Ruler
- Cutting board
- Scissors
- X-acto Knife
- Embroidery Floss
- Screw Punch or Awl
- Heat and Bond
- Tailors Chalk- used to draw your stencil out. I typically poke the holes when doing cereal box books. This does not work with vinyl. The tailors chalk stays well while you are sewing
- Iron
I will be making many more of these. If you want to see. Please check back here or on any of my social links. You can find those to the right on the blog.
