I am a fan of custom. I love love love personal items. You can give them a personal touch related to the person you are gifting. The presentation is just as important as the gift in my opinion. In the last few years one of my fav things about gift giving is creating wrapping paper with brown paper grocery bags or kraft paper role. You don’t need much for creating. I tend to use stamps and colored pencils. You could use markers, but they might bleed through. Always check first how your design will turn out. I have used paint before to create a design.
