DIY Flower Press

I had some awesome flowers for my 4th of July party that my mom brought from her garden. I have a apartment so I cannot grow my own flowers. I hate when the flowers have to go to compost because they have died. This time I really wanted to preserve some of them by pressing. I don’t have a press or a book heave enough to place the flowers.

So I found instructions via pinterest at this site http://www.finegardening.com/pressing-flowers

I used card board box cut up for the layering with pieces of printer paper. I didnt want the flowers directly on the cardboard because they tend to take on the texture of the cardboard.

I will use these for some craft projects. Probably cards. Maybe some coasters.
