My husbands aunt is in the DC area today. She wanted to have lunch with us before heading back to PA. Hubs had work and I have off since it is a Monday in June. Mondays and Fridays in June I have off.

We decided to eat near Catholic U where hubs works. They have a & Pizza in their “downtown” type area. I don’t typically eat Pizza. I was able to fine a vegan version and it was pretty darn good. I am not vegan. And I hate to me stuck in a title. I try to limit my cheese intake because I noticed that it does have an effect on me.

This pizza is the Redvine seen in the above photo. I a smidgen of Daiya Mozz on it. Mostly it was the veggies. The crust is super thin. Love. It was a wheat or multigrain crust. For having to eat out in a fast foodish type place I would deem this as a healthy option compared to others.

If I am making pizza at home I use Bobs Red Mill pizza mix. It is gluten free. I don’t need to get all the flours and other stuff to make it. Come in a nice package. My pizza would have tons of veggies and nutritional yeast.

I use nutritional yeast for the cheesy flavor in really anything I want a cheesy flavor. It contains heaps of B vitamins, protein, and fiber in a very small volume. Sort of tastes like sharp cheddar.

You can buy it in the bulk bins at your local health food or grocery store.

Random fact. The word yeast creeps me out.
